The Clash

Play: The Clash – I Fought the Law

The Clash introduced Rock n Roll and Reggae into their own politically charged Punk Rock sound, giving them a unique blend of melody and raucous noise that very few bands have been able to capture although they have been copied in almost every element of the bands makeup since. The early gigs were described as a musical incendiary device that blew the minds of audiences, although opinions differ on the bands later work there is no doubting the influence they had worldwide with those early songs.
