China Drum

China Drum were formed in Northern England by two Brothers around 1989, Bill McQueen on Guitar and Dave on Bass they joined forces with singing drummer Adam Lee. They became yet another band who were plucked from obscurity and played on John Peel’s radio show initially with there fine debut single “Simple”.

Later they had some success with a cover of Kate Bush’s “Wuthering Heights” on the b-side of “Can’t Stop These Things”, they then came to an end in 2000 after 3 albums and a rendition of Rupert the Bear’s theme tune for the kids TV program.
