In 1976 vocalist/guitarist Terry Sharpe, bassist Sean Martin, vocalist/guitarist Paul Bowen and drummer Liam L’Estrange formed the Starjets, a band who created a short yet effective musical history that wasn’t fully appreciated until the band were long gone. With hooks and harmonies oozing around every chord they managed to reach 51 in the charts with the single “War Stories”, a tale of comic book war heroes to jangling guitar and rattling drums.

Their only album “God Bless the Starjets” decided their future, with limited commercial success they at first changed their name to Tango Brigade before splitting.  It may have been only a little longer than 15 mins of fame, but the Starjets left behind some audible delights in 1979 that are still appreciated today.
