Floridian-punks, The Attack have today released their new single ‘Bad Guy’, taken from their upcoming split release with UK punk band No Thrills. The single comes ahead of the bands latest visit to the UK which will see the quartet take to the road with punk-rock-legends, The Queers through late July and August, including a performance at Rebellion Festival.

Speaking on the single, vocalist Charlie Bender said “Bad Guy is mostly a satire. The idea came to me after hearing people not taking accountability for their own actions.” He continues, “Constantly blaming someone else. I had an encounter at work one day that sparked the “Bad Guy.” I knew I wanted the song to have satire to show how ridiculous some excuses are that people have. Owning up to their wrongdoing would be a start and consciously making an effort to not put other people in shitty situations would be great.”
The Attack brings punk back to the basics: short, fast-riffing songs about the social, music, and media-driven politics of today. Having come together as a rehearsal band in the early 2000’s, over the years, The Attack have sculpted their own brand of traditional street punk, taking influence from punk rock throughout the decades. “I was introduced to punk by some friends in the UK in the early 80’s, then followed it up as a regular in the New York Hardcore scene based around CBGB’s.” said guitarist Brad Palkevich. “Charlie and Mikey were big on the ska-punk explosion of the 90’s and that really inspired them. Jason, the youngest of all is 100% died in the wool mid to late 90’s punk.”
Proudly independent, The Attack stands for supporting underground music and independent businesses, celebrating old traditions and creating new ones too. “We stand for stepping off the sidelines and doing what you want to do. We stand for doing it ourselves.” The Attack has no official record label, no agent or manager. All of their achievements and accomplishments have been achieved through their own determination, hard work and built on through friendships.
Throughout the years, The Attack have toured with The Misfits, H2O, The Business, The Toasters, Pennywise, Cro-Mags and Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The band have also performed on Flogging Molly’s ‘Salty Dog Cruise’ through the Caribbean for the past two years, as well as appearing at The Mighty Mighty Bosstones ‘Home Town Throw Down’ in Boston. 2017 saw the band tour the UK with Flogging Molly, setting them up for subsequent return visits, including the appearance at 2018’s Rebellion Festival.

Vocalist, Charlie Bender and guitarist, Brad Palkevich founded Enemy Ink from their United States base in 2001, starting out with one small printing press and the intent to print for their own and friends bands. Over the years the business has grown substantially, whilst remaining independent. Now, Enemy Ink operates four automatic presses, employs 25 people, and still maintains a focus of printing for the arts and entertainment communities.
The growth of the company saw Enemy Ink open a UK operation in 2016, based in the West Midlands. Since day one, the Enemy Ink goal has been two-fold. Firstly, to provide a seamless experience for their US clients who have tours or events in the UK. Managing art files, printing and shipping intercontinental is quite a chore for small bands – Enemy Ink has you covered. Secondly, Enemy Ink in the States has developed a unique approach to offering great design and print techniques and customer service for more traditional clients, helping them to expand their band, or brands, or special event’s merchandise offering.
